SmallPNG is an independent browser-based image utility focused on one practical job: helping people make images fit file-size requirements quickly and clearly.

What SmallPNG does

SmallPNG provides tools to compress, reduce or increase JPG, JPEG, PNG and WebP file sizes, including common targets such as 50 KB, 100 KB and 200 KB. The product is intentionally focused: one image at a time, no account required, and no dashboard.

How image processing works

For supported v1 formats, image processing runs locally in your browser. Compression searches for a practical result under the requested limit, while increase mode uses valid file-format padding where possible without changing visible pixels.

Why we built it

Many application forms, admission portals, profile systems and websites reject images that exceed a strict file-size limit. SmallPNG is designed to turn those requirements into a direct task instead of making users learn compression settings.
